‘ERIC BERNE – THE MAN AND HIS TIMES’

Ann will present biographical information about Eric Berne, including a quiz, Powerpoint presentation with many photographs of Berne, a tape recording of his voice, and a segment of a DVD of Berne being interviewed. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions about Eric Berne and his life.
Ann Heathcote, BSc(Hons)Psych, CTA(P), is a Transactional Analysis psychotherapist in North West Manchester and is Director of The Worsley Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling. She is currently researching an up-to-date biography of Eric Berne.

A unique workshop which encapsulates the wisdom of sacred circle dancing and psychotherapy/personal development.
Nowadays we often have extremely busy lives with little opportunity to prioritize space and time for ourselves or others. The aim of this workshop is to provide a day to nourish our mind, body and spirit.
This enriching day will encompass sacred circle dancing, involving movement and gentle, symbolic dances, and personal development, including heart breathing, visualization, relaxation and self-reflection exercises.

Venue: The Studio, Tatton House, 11 Old Hall Road, Gatley, Stockport SK8 4BE.
Time: 10am-5pm (Pre-workshop refreshments from 9.30am).
Cost: £45 (waged); £35 (unwaged).
Lunch: Please bring a vegetarian lunch to share (no oven available).
Other: Previous experience of dancing is not required. This is not a workshop for in-depth psychotherapy. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat (optional).

Ana da Costa is a registered occupational therapist, working for over 21 years in the field of mental health in both Brazil and the UK. She has been using and teaching circle dance for the past 16 years in a variety of community groups and as part of occupational therapy programmes. Ana is currently undertaking a PhD research degree on the benefits of circle dancing.
Ann Heathcote has a private psychotherapy practice in North West Manchester and is a United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy registered transactional analysis psychotherapist. She has been working in the mental health field for over 20 years. Ann has been a dedicated circle dancer for over 13 years and is committed to the ongoing personal development of herself and others.
