Welcome To The Worsley Centre

Ann Heathcote opened The Worsley Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling in 2001 as a centre for the provision of professional psychotherapeutic services.

The Worsley Centre is a warm and welcoming environment for people wishing to undertake counselling and psychotherapy. The practitioners at the centre care deeply about each individual’s mental health and well-being. They all share a passion for providing high-quality therapeutic services.

As well as providing individual counselling, couples counselling and group counselling on a private basis; we also provide Hypno-psychotherapy; supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists; and therapy rooms for practitioners. If you’re looking for a counselling service in Manchester or Salford, contact us and we can advise you on the next steps.

Why have Psychotherapy or Counselling?

We all have times when the going gets tough, have a low mood and need someone to talk too. Sometimes we just need to speak to someone face to face, as well as to someone who will really listen to us and our concerns. During counselling sessions, we can work together to help you cope with situations that are affecting you. Both counselling and psychotherapy are types of talking therapies. These therapies have been shown to help people deal with difficulties such as stress, anxiety, anger management, depression, traumatic stress, sexual abuse and relationship problems. As well as breakdowns, eating disorders, low self-esteem and confidence, loss and grief, bereavement, self-harm and personality difficulties. Click here for more information on who can benefit from therapy.

We listen to your individual needs and give you a space to talk freely about how you feel. Talking about the things in your life that are causing you problems in a confidential space with a qualified and accredited counsellor is widely recognised as an effective way to tackle problems.

We have a range of ages come to visit the Worsley Centre, from young people to the elderly. Our qualified counsellors are trained to deal with a range of issues, that means that if you come to talk about one problem but we reveal that it is also connected to other related issues, they can adjust the session accordingly.
